P—PALAVRA
DE RUA

LISBON—PT

#palavraderua was an artistic manifesto for citizenship and critical awareness about the importance of free and analog public space.

During the pandemic crisis was essential to recover the physical quality of human interactions, in detriment of the virtual paradigms increasingly present in the digital world. After all, it is here, on the street, in the gardens, in the squares, where real things happen. That one that change our life, that make it happen and that eventually take it away.

This #palavraderua project was born out of a desire to provoke the apathetic and asleep citizen who has not defend the physical space in which he lives in. This is the citizen who is more and more numb at times when the public space of cities is limited or privatized. This is the citizen who accepts and conforms to the imposition of the virtual world. We are this citizen.

L—LETTERING

 MULTI LOCALS

Handmade lettering, made on site, for different projects. Construction scraps and paint leftovers are usually used to improvise this local communication. The informal identity of the lettering and the different languages are the link with users; participants; or inhabitants. Sometimes, this lettering also works as a parallel activity of the main project, for the involvement of children or other groups of the community, that are not participating so actively in the main project.

T—TEMERE
FINGUNT

LISBON—PT

Temere Fingunt - random molds; precipitated shapes.

Represents a non-thought between perception and action, just a reaction from stimulus. What I'm looking to explore starts from what already exists, a piece of wood or drop of ink. Coming from the randomness of the encounter, the leftovers and the past mistakes are ingredients for expression.
All these pieces are born from the perspective of chaos to a sense of order, from raw to emotion.

Some of the pieces are for sale :)

P—POSTER
MOSTRA

LISBON—PT

“Participation is the new green?” was an answer to POSTER MOSTRA ‘17 invitation to Colectivo Warehouse.

This poster raise a public reflextion about the truth behind contemporaneous participation and collaboration. It is mostly meanfull in cities’ proccess or it’s just a urban trend ?

For this poster Colectivo Warehouse used post-its from an ongoing participative rehousing process, that by the time was already losing Almada’s Municipality support.
